FAJS 36 DRLA Carburetor
Complete carburetor with standard jetting, based on the classic Dellorto DRLA design. A very popular choice for air-cooled Volkswagen engines and Alfa Romeo applications.

Important Product Information
This is a newly manufactured reproduction (replica) of the original Dellorto DRLA. Dellorto stopped producing the DRLA (and DHLA) series in 1992 and it's become increasingly difficult (and expensive) to obtain one in good condition. This offers excellent value for money but requires a higher level of technical knowledge to install compared to an original carburetor.
Installation Notes:
- Tuning & Checks: We guarantee that the product is complete and free from manufacturing defects upon delivery. However, we cannot accept returns based on tuning difficulties. Fine-tuning of float levels and jetting is a standard part of the installation process.
- Needle Valve: On these reproductions, the needle valve can sometimes be sensitive. If the carburetor floods, MISAB recommends carefully checking the float level and, if necessary, upgrading to a high-quality original style needle valve for better reliability.
- Fuel Pressure: Ensure that fuel pressure does not exceed 0.20 - 0.25 Bar. Excessive pressure will cause flooding.
- Engine Condition: Ensure the engine is otherwise in good condition and free from vacuum leaks before attempting to tune the carburetor.
