Filter King by Malpassi is a renowned and highly reliable pressure regulator with a built-in fuel filter, specifically designed for carbureted engines. This model is equipped with a strong glass bowl, allowing you to visually inspect the fuel and easily see when it is time to replace the filter element. A steady fuel flow and correct pressure are absolutely crucial to prevent the carburetor from flooding, which in turn results in smoother engine running and improved fuel economy.
Technical Specifications:
- Connections (in/out): Hose nipple for 6-8 mm fuel hose
- Fuel pressure gauge port: Yes, 1/8" NPT thread. A brass plug is included if the port is not used. (Thread tape or Loctite is recommended for sealing).
- Factory pressure setting: 0.16 Bar (2.20 PSI)
- Mounting bracket dimensions: CC 28 mm, hole diameter 7 mm

Adjusting the fuel pressure:
The pressure is fully adjustable from the top of the regulator. By removing the dome nut, loosening the lock nut, and turning the adjustment screw inwards (clockwise), you tighten the spring and thereby increase the fuel pressure. Although the regulator comes pre-set at 0.16 Bar, we always recommend checking and adjusting the pressure upon installation, as different fuel pumps deliver varying base pressures. For precise adjustment, we recommend mounting a fuel pressure gauge (Part No: 305,1) directly on the port. Please note that the engine must be running during pressure adjustment.
