FILTER KING 8 mm LARGE GLASS
Malpassi Filter King pressure regulator with extra-large glass bowl – ideal for carbureted engines.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Fuel connection: 8 mm hose nipple
- Gauge port: Yes, 1/8" NPT (Gauge 305.1)
- Recommended for standard carbureted engines
ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE
Fuel pressure is adjusted from the top. Remove the dome nut and loosen the locknut. Turning the screw clockwise increases the spring tension and raises the fuel pressure. Turning counterclockwise reduces it.
All FK1–FK7 models use the same pressure spring: TF67.
The FK7 is pre-set to deliver 0.25 BAR (3.60 PSI). However, most fuel pumps used in carbureted engines vary in pressure depending on vehicle model.
Fuel pressure depends on the fuel pump output. To ensure correct pressure, it must be measured and adjusted using a fuel pressure gauge.
The easiest way is to install our fuel pressure gauge (Part No. 305.1) directly on the regulator. The engine must be running during adjustment.
FILTER & MATERIAL
- Paper fuel filter element
- Extra-large glass bowl with increased fuel reserve (85 mm diameter)
- Strong and durable glass bowl
- Ensures consistent fuel flow to the carburetor – critical for smooth engine operation and reduced fuel consumption
- Essential when using fuel pumps with output higher than 0.25 BAR on most carburetors
Mounting bracket and screws are included.
MISAB’s Filter King by Malpassi includes a 1/8" NPT port for fuel pressure gauge installation (e.g., 301.1). If unused, the port can be sealed with the included brass plug (Part No. 3.226). Use thread seal tape, Loctite, or similar for proper sealing.
