IDLE CUT-OFF SOLENOID – Solex & Pierburg Carburetors
High-quality replacement electric idle cut-off solenoid (anti-dieseling valve) designed for a wide range of Solex and Pierburg carburetors. This valve ensures the engine stops immediately when the ignition is turned off by cutting off the fuel supply to the idle circuit, preventing "dieseling" or run-on.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Prevents Engine Run-on: Stops the engine from continuing to turn over after the key is removed.
- Restores Idle Quality: Essential for a stable idle. A faulty solenoid often causes the engine to stall immediately when the throttle is released.
- Interchangeable Jet: Supplied with a standard 0.50 mm idle jet. However, the tip is designed to be removable, allowing you to swap in your original jet if your engine requires a different calibration.
Compatibility:
Fits many classic European vehicles (VW Beetle/Bus, Volvo, Opel, Ford, BMW) equipped with:
- Solex: PICT series (e.g., 30/31 PICT, 34 PICT-3), DIDTA, INAT, PDSI.
- Pierburg: 2E3, 1B3, 2E2 and similar models.
- Brosol: H30/31.

Troubleshooting Tip:
To test your current solenoid: Turn the ignition key to the ON position (do not start the engine). Disconnect and reconnect the wire to the solenoid. You should hear a distinct "click" sound. If there is no click, check your wiring or replace the solenoid.
