This retaining screw is a high-quality genuine replacement part manufactured to securely fasten the float bowl top cover on the legendary Weber DCO and DCOE series carburetors. After many years in a harsh engine bay environment, it is extremely common for the original screws to rust, suffer stripped heads during disassembly, or simply get lost during a rebuild. By replacing worn screws, you ensure that the carburetor cover applies an even and secure clamping force against the gasket, effectively preventing dangerous fuel leaks and frustrating vacuum issues.

Workshop tip: Always tighten the cover screws in a crisscross pattern to ensure an even clamping pressure across the entire paper gasket. Avoid over-tightening the screws, as the threaded holes in the main carburetor body are cast from relatively soft aluminum and can easily strip.
