This is a direct replacement internal filter element (pre-filter) that mounts securely inside the removable bottom cover of your electric Facet fuel pump. Featuring a fine 74-micron rating, this filter acts as your first line of defense; it effectively traps microscopic rust flakes, dirt, and sediment drawn from the fuel tank, completely preventing these harmful particles from reaching and clogging your carburetor's highly delicate internal jets and needle valves.

This specific 74-micron variant is installed as standard, original factory equipment in Facet Red Top pumps. However, it is fully compatible with, and serves as an excellent service or upgrade part for, other cylindrical models within the same pump family.

Workshop tip: A partially or fully clogged internal pump filter is one of the single most common causes of low fuel pressure, engine starvation at high RPMs, and premature, unnecessary failure of the fuel pump motor itself. We highly recommend proactively inspecting and replacing this bottom filter at the start of every driving or boating season. Remember to also order a fresh rubber base gasket when replacing the internal filter element to guarantee a completely leak-free seal.
