The Filter King by Malpassi is an industry standard for carbureted engines. It offers an efficient two-in-one solution: a precise, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a high-quality paper fuel filter. By ensuring an even flow of fuel and preventing the carburetor from flooding, you optimize both engine running and fuel consumption.
This model is equipped with an extra durable aluminum bowl instead of a glass bowl. This makes the regulator fully approved for use in all types of motorsport and competition cars, where glass bowls are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Features and Adjustment:
- Adjustable Fuel Pressure: Easily adjusted from the top. By loosening the dome nut and turning the adjustment screw inwards (clockwise), the pressure increases; turning it outwards (counter-clockwise) decreases it.
- Factory Setting: The FK3 comes pre-set to approximately 0.16 BAR (2.20 PSI). However, because fuel pressure depends on the fuel pump, the pressure must always be checked and fine-tuned with a pressure gauge while the engine is running.
- Gauge Port: The regulator is equipped with a 1/8" NPT port for direct connection of a pressure gauge (e.g., gauge 305,1). If the port is not used, it can be plugged with the included brass plug (use thread tape or Loctite).
